About Mrs. Rohed
Kathryn Rohed earned her B.S./B.Ed. in Music Education graduating cum laude in May 2020 from Western Carolina University. During her college career, Ms. Rohedparticipated in various ensembles including the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Pride of the Mountains Marching Band, and the Trumpet Ensemble, for which she was selected to be a guest conductor. She also taught master classes with local school districts in Western North Carolina. During her time at WCU, she participated in master classes and trumpet ensembles at the Orvieto Musica Festival in Orvieto, Italy during the summer of 2019 was a cultural and performing highlight of her college career.
After moving to Texas, Ms. Rohed started her teaching career in El Campo ISD. During her time there, she was the Interim Head Band Director at El Campo Middle School. Her second year of teaching was spent in Lamar Consolidated ISD at T.L. Pink Elementary School. She has loved her time so far at WoodCreek Junior High and is excited to be entering her 5th year of teaching.
In her free time, Ms. Rohed enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, Rachel and Levi.
